Alvin B Cruz , Philippines

Introducing  : Alvin B. Cruz has published three collections of poetry -"Sunsets Are Sonnets & Other Poems",  "Written on Water," and more recently "Paper Cranes." His haiku, senryu, tanka, and haibun have been published in many print and online journals, namely Modern Haiku, Wales Haiku Journal. Presence, Whiptail, Cold Moon Journal, Kingfisher, Prune Juice, Frogpond, Failed Haiku, Poetry Pea, Under the Basho, Haiku Canada Review, Scarlet Dragonfly, among others. His haiku have won awards and recognition from several international haiku competitions, including the Haiku Society of America Senryu Award (2nd Place) in 2021, the Irish Haiku Society Honorable Mention in 2021, and the Tokusen (2nd Prize) in Kusamakura Haiku Competition in 2022, among others. Alvin is currently a full-time faculty member at FEU Alabang. He lives in Manila, Philippines.
