Jeff Hoagland, USA

Introducing  : Jeff Hoagland is the Education Director at The Watershed Institute in Pennington, NJ where the mission is to keep water clean, healthy and safe. Here he shares his passion for the natural world and examines our place in it, with thousands of students annually.

Jeff practices haiku to stay connected to the “real” world. His haiku are a product of his love affair with all things wild, showcasing a deep 
reverence for nature.

Scent of juniper, Jeff’s first book, published by Red Moon Press, received an Honorable Mention in the 2024 Haiku Society of America Merit Book Awards.   
Readers visit several habitats within walking distance of his home in 
Hopewell, New Jersey. His haiku have appeared widely in journals and 
anthologies. Jeff is an Associate Editor at The Heron’s Nest.
