Peter Jastermsky, USA

 Introducing  : Peter Jastermsky lives with his family in the high desert of Southern California, USA. An award-winning cherita poet, Peter’s work has appeared in many journals and anthologies. He is also a Dwarf Star Award and Best of the Net nominee.The author of nine books of haiku-based writing, Peter writes all the short forms that are part of this lineage In 2017, Peter invented a new linked form that is haiku-centered called a split sequence. His recent book, Just Dust and Stone, published in 2021, (Velvet Dusk Publishing) is a collection of more than forty collaborative split sequences, cowritten with Bryan Rickert. Peter’s other titles include his first collection of haiku and senryu, Steel Cut Moon (Cholla Needles Press), published in 2019.  No Velcro Here (Yavanika Press), published in 2019, is a chapbook of haibun, written in Peter’s uniquely quirky style. Current titles include Backpedaling (Yavanika Press, 2022), and Where Days Begin (Cyberwit, 2023).
