Pravat Kumar Padhy, India
Introducing : Pravat Kumar Padhy is an awarded Indian / English Poet, haikuist, and essayist. He obtained his Master of Science and a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, ISM Dhanbad. He is a mainstream poet and a writer of Japanese short form poetry. His work has been featured in various journals, international platforms, weekly columns and anthologies of repute including Red Moon Anthology. His poem “How Beautiful” is featured in the undergraduate curriculum at university level. His haiku are included in the school curriculum on the haiku project of ‘The New Trier High School’, Chicago. Pravat’s haiku own The Kloštar Ivanić International Haiku Award, Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Invitational Award, IAFOR Vladimir Devidé Haiku Award, Setouchi Matsuyama Photo Haiku Award, and others. His haiku are featured at Mann Library, Cornell University, USA and tanka in “Kudo Resource Guide”, University of California, Berkeley. He served as a panel judge of “The Haiku Foundation Touchstone Awards” and is on the editorial board of Under the Basho.
