Melissa Leaf Nelson, USA

Introducing  : Melissa Leaf Nelson grew up on a farm in Iowa (United States) and enjoyed writing stories and poems as a child. She devoted her career to social work and healthcare quality in supporting people through difficult times. Returning to her first love, she took creative writing classes at a local college and started sending her work out into the world. In addition to the inevitable “rejection slips,” her work has been published in Rosebud, Modern Haiku, Frogpond, Green Hills Literary Lantern, Brussels Sprout, black bough, and the Red Moon Anthology, among others.
