Introducing  : D. Keali‘i MacKenzie, a queer Kanaka ‘Ōiwi poet, is the author of the chapbooks From Hunger to Prayer and The Mana of Salt. His work appears in Pacific Islander Eco-Literatures, Foglifter. Ribbons, and Failed Haiku. He resides in Ko‘olaupoko on the Island of O‘ahu.
