Dorna Hainds

Introducing  : Dorna Hainds (b. August 1, 1980) is a poet and haiku writer whose work explores the quiet moments of everyday life. Adopted in her youth (1994/95), she has drawn on the resilience and observation in both her creative pursuits and her varied career in the service industry—from dishwasher and deli worker to legal office clerk. An avid reader and writer, she made her poetic debut in Frameless Sky (2020), with subsequent haiku featured on Charlotte DiGregorio’s Blog and the Asahi Haikuist Network. In June 2023, her work received an Honorable Mention from the Bulagarin Haiku Union, affirming her deft touch with the form.
